Thanks for the critiques! kinda.

I will honestly say when I decided to start a blog about our life, I didn't count on it getting critiqued on Indiana Open Wheel...but thanks.  I'm only going to address opinions about my blog one time, so this is it.

When I posted that I was starting a blog, I only put the website address because the content was not worthy of an actual post on IOW.  For those that want to get their "information" elsewhere, that's great, because I don't have a lot of information to give.  Just life experiences.  I subscribe to 3 of my friends blogs, one puts pictures up of their children and lets the followers know what they did that day, one is becoming a surrogate mother and informs us of all she and her husband must go through, and the other moved to a new state and just lets us know how her kids are adjusting to life on a military base.  Point being, my blog is just for friends or people interested in what's going on in our crazy life.  Not for you to get racing "information". Yes, I was a little pessimistic in my first post, but somethings people say hit me way too personally and I can't help but get upset by them.

I guess I failed to convey my upmost passion for this sport.  We don't take any weekends off and I wouldn't have it any other way.  I help Jerry to look for races to run, while I hear of other wives and families wanting a break for vacation I consider going to Belleville with my family more of a vacation than anything.  This is what my my family does.  I love this deal, seeing my husband on the racetrack makes me so excited, nervous, and the most proud wife all at the same time.  Seeing my son stand on my lap and point to Jerry's car and yell "go go dada!" at the top of his lungs is more of a reward to me than most can imagine.  This passion is exactly why I get so down about people that are negative.  One person said Jerry lost him as a fan when Jerry and Brady Bacon were involved in a incident at Richmond a couple years ago.  I couldn't sleep, I couldn't stop thinking about it, Brady's mom and I are best friends, Brady and Jerry were okay with each other, Jerry won that race! But I couldn't get over some person on a message board said he was no longer a fan.  I just wanted to tell him how respectful Jerry is, and give him 100 reasons and a free t-shirt to not stop liking Jerry, I honestly was so upset by this, because this is my PASSION.

Quick Story: Just last week Jerry spun out on the front stretch at ORP, we were sitting in the suite directly in front of where he stopped.  Cale starts yelling "yay daddy go daddy" and pointing to the car.  It really kills me how that kid doesn't car if we're in victory lane after the race or moping in the pits after a mistake.  He just loves this stuff and he just loves his dad.  My kid has passion too!

I am not really going to address the "knocks against IOW"  I would never knock IOW.  I get on there daily.  There is a plethora of information and I love the free exchange of thoughts and ideas.  Are there posters on IOW that are negative and only cause problems, yes, and if you don't see that, you don't read that board. Period.  Besides, in some distant crazy way, I think I'm related to Bill Gardner :)

I was also in no way trying to imply we have "hardships".  We are so blessed.  Just as I said in the very first line, we are NOT the only family to do this, I just thought I'd let my friends who don't know as much about racing, or even those that do, look into why our life is the way it is, why we can't attend family get togethers, why my husband had to miss our sons first birthday and first Christmas, why I don't get to have "date nights" with my husband, etc.  Again, this is a BLOG, think of it as a journal, not an all knowing website with updates and race results, if you want that, add Jerry Coons Jr. Racing on facebook.  This is for me and my friends and also people that I don't know that enjoy this crazy sport of ours!

Oh...by the way, Dave Argabright told me he enjoyed my blog...I win :) Thanks guys
